Get Involved this National Teen Driver Safety Week

This Sunday marks the start of National Teen Driver Safety Week (NTDSW) and if you haven’t yet, this is the perfect time to get more involved in the safety of your new teen driver.

Car crashes remain the number one killer of teens, with 16-to-19 year-old drivers most likely to be in a fatal crash. NTDSW is used as a platform to promote and recognize teen safe driving in schools, communities, and organizations throughout the United States, but the real differences are made between parents and their teen drivers.

As we’ve said before, parents are the key to keeping teen drivers safe on the roads. With the change of the seasons this time of year, your teen might be spending more time driving at night and in unsafe weather conditions, but you have the chance to help them stay safe and learn how to be a responsible driver.

To help you get involved, we’ll be sharing lots of tips and information next week so be sure to check back here and follow us on Twitter and Facebook for new lessons. NTDSW runs from October 15-21, but you can make a difference with your teen’s safety every day of the year.
