Each year, the National Safety Council recognizes individuals and organizations who have taken steps to improve teen driver safety with the Teen Driving Safety Leadership Award. This year’s winner, chosen for her commitment to saving teen lives, was announced at the 2017 NSC Congress & Expo in Indianapolis and we’d like to acknowledge her here, as well.
Congratulations to Danielle Branciforte!
As the leader of the Florida Teen Safe Driving Coalition and the statewide director for Florida SADD, Branciforte played an integral role in decreasing teen driver fatalities and improving teen driver safety across the entire state of Florida. During her leadership, Florida saw an 18 percent drop in fatal car crashes among 15- to-19-year-old teen drivers and a 22 percent drop among the state’s youngest drivers, aged 15 to 17.
We applaud Danielle’s efforts as she serves as an inspiration to young drivers, parents and all road users.
